The first day of the 2018 College World Series at TD Ameritrade Park is in the books after a thrilling opening slate of games that included North Carolina defeating Oregon State 8–6 in a record 4-hour, 24-minute contest — the longest nine-inning game in CWS history — followed by Mississippi State defeating Washington 1–0 on a walk-off single.

CWS action will continue Sunday afternoon as №5 seed Arkansas (44–19) will face №13 Texas (42–21) at 2 p.m. ET, followed by №1 seed Florida (47–19) against №9 Texas Tech (44–18) at 7 p.m. ET.
Oregon State and Washington will play in anac all-Pac-12 elimination game on Monday at 2 p.m. ET, followed by UNC and Mississippi State at 7 p.m. ET.
